FAQs

How will it make a difference?

Whilst many feel lone voices are not heard, together we will have a stronger voice as the Torbay Citizens’ Assembly, acting as a conduit to the statutory and voluntary services. These will include Torbay Council, Public Health, Torbay & South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, Carers’ Services, Torbay Communities, Age UK Torbay, Engaging Communities South West (Healthwatch Torbay), Libraries Unlimited, and the local Community Partnerships.

Where has this idea come from?

The Assembly was a legacy from Ageing Well Torbay, and together with Torbay Older Citizens’ Forum, was the voice of older residents to influence services and activities within Torbay.

Who has been involved in this work?

Local residents who are interested in influencing the development of services and activities within the Bay.

Associate members from statutory, voluntary and community organisations.
