Independent Age’s Listening Roadshow, Paignton Library 25th July 2024

Independent Age will be bringing their Listening Roadshow to Paignton Library & Information Centre on Thursday 25th July, as part of the Two Million Too Many campaign, offering a chance for the bay’s older people to share:

-How you’re managing with household costs

-Issues with renting your home

-What support do you think older people in financial hardship need

“We’re coming to Paignton, Thursday 25th July, to gather the community’s experiences of financial hardship and take them straight to those at the top.

“Across the UK, around 2 million older people are living in poverty and many of us just don’t know it. That’s enough older people to fill Birmingham, Glasgow and Cardiff. We know that lots of older people face constant worry to afford the basics, if they can afford them at all. This can’t go on.”

This drop-in session takes place 1-4pm, with refreshments on offer.
